October 5, 1936 - June 11, 2017
Carol Marjorie Crone Blasingame passed away peacefully on June 11, 2017 at the age of 80.
She is survived by her children, Josiah “Jay” Blasingame III and Joanne “Jody” Blasingame Harris and grandchildren Christy Blasingame Kirkpatrick, Elise Nicole Blasingame, Noah Crittenden Harris, and Josiah Powell Harris.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, B.G. Josiah Blasingame Jr. of Jersey, Georgia.
Born Oct 5, 1936 in Binghamton, NY, Carol was the daughter of Col. Charles F. Crone and Eleanor Smith Crone. As an Army brat and Army wife, she moved frequently, living throughout Europe immediately after World War II, and later serving as an Arlington Lady supporting the families of our fallen soldiers. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, reading, and helping others. She was an angel in life and now an angel in heaven.
Services will be held at Lanier Village Estates in Gainesville, GA on Saturday, July 1, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel. A Reception will follow in the Auditorium.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to Peachtree Corners Presbyterian Church, 5918 Spalding Dr., Peachtree Corners, GA 30092.
