Mr.Clarence "Ray" Keeling, age 86, of Gainesville, passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at his residence.  

Born August 6, 1931 in Stephens County Georgia, he was the son of the late Wilbur Spence Keeling and Lola Mae Terrell Keeling.

He was a long time member of First Baptist Church in Gainesville Georgia and was a retired pharmacist and co-owner of Peachtree Pharmacy in Gainesville.  He was a graduate of Mercer University and was a reservist in the Georgia Army National Guard.   He was also an active member of the Gainesville Elks Lodge. He was married to his wife Ann for over 50 years and deeply loved his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  He loved to fish and spend time on the lake and camping.  He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.  

Family members include his wife Carolyn Ann Keeling, son Stephen Keeling, daughters and sons-in-law Kathleen and Greg Harris, Angela and Paul Murphy, daughter Jennifer Keeling, grandchildren Courtney Parks, Brett Entrekin, Spencer Harris, Joseph Harris, Thomas Entrekin, Allison Murphy, Andrew Murphy, great-grandchildren Brentley Parks and Rory Parks. Sisters in law Miriam Keeling and Juanita Keeling and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Leonard Keeling, Terrell Keeling, Roy Keeling, Verner Keeling, Fred Keeling and sister Irene Keeling Shockley.  

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 16, 2017 in the chapel of Whitlock Mortuary at 1 pm in Toccoa, Georgia.  Interment to follow at Stephens Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive family and friends Friday September 15, 2017 at Little and Davenport Funeral Home from 5 til 7 pm and again also at Whitlock Mortuary from 11 til 1 pm on Saturday before the funeral hour.
