Cora K. (Kersh) Peck

Mrs. Cora K. Peck, 92 of  Murrayville  passed away Tuesday November 14, 2017.

Born in Lumpkin County, Mrs. Peck had lived in Hall County for most of her life.  She was the daughter of the late Claiborne Kersh, Sr., and Mary Elizabeth Redford Kersh.  She was employed at the Cake Box Bakery for a number of years and was also a homemaker and caretaker for many.  She was a member of the Murrayville Congregational Holiness Church. 

Cora loved her flower beds and gardening.  Her yard, her porch and her home were always open for anyone to stop in and stay awhile.  Everyone always enjoyed Cora's hospitality, humor and quick wit (which she still had at age 92).

Her surviving family includes, daughter Sondra (Dugar) Strickland, Jefferson; sons, Tony Peck, Murrayville; Johnny Peck, Lula; Don Peck, Atlanta; brother, Marion Kersh (Shirley), Dahlonega;  Nanny is survived by her grandchildren, Chris, Kim, Michael, Shannon, Patrick, Matt, Scott, Jason, Josh, Lori, Jesse, Ashley, Cheryl, Deneen, Cary, Rebecca and their families.

Cora was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Jewell Peck, her brothers and sisters, Claiborne Kersh, Robert Kersh, Betty Yackaboski, Ann Kersh and Shirley Davis.

The family would like to thank Brighter Mornings at the Shoals of Maysville for their loving care and support and Homestead Hospice for the good and professional care they gave her.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday November 17, 2017 in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home.  Rev. Michael Clark will officiate.  Interment will follow in the Murrayville Congregational Holiness Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday November 16 from 6-8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to  Alzheimer's Association, 4100 Perimeter Center East, Suite 550, Atlanta, Ga. 30346  in memory of Mrs. Peck.
