Emily Grace (Behnke) Willers

On August 1, 2017, and after a long and well-lived life, Gainesville resident Emily Grace Willers, 103, was brought home by the Lord. 

She was pre-deceased by her husband of 52 years, Donald Willers Sr., and her granddaughter Joy Ann Bruce.

She is survived by her children: her daughter Susan Willers Bruce and her husband Jim of Virginia, their daughter Heather Grande, husband Jason and their son Colin, and her son, Donald Willers and his wife Jean of Gainesville and their three children, Jennifer Gottsman and her husband Mike and their three children, Kate, Caroline and Carter; Jeff Willers and his wife Elisabeth and their three children, Owen, Isabel and Charlie; and Suzanne Hlavacek and her husband Jim and their two children, Andrew and Emily. Great grandma Emily's devotion to her family, friends, and her church, and her kindness to everyone reflected her faith that the world would be better if we "love one another” as Christ urged.

A celebration of Emily's life will be held on Saturday, September 16th at 4 PM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Gainesville or to your favorite charity.
