Eva Pauline "Polly" (Russell) Helton

Eva Pauline “Miss Polly” Helton passed away June 22, 2016.

Born in Hall County, Ga. 04/11/1928, she was the daughter of Steve Russell and Eva Clark Russell. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, SFC Robert H. Helton, sisters Lula Bell Winkler, Alice Crumley, Blondine Dean, Sue White and brothers Johnnie Clyde Russell and Franklin Russell. She was also preceded in death by her grandson Anthony Scott Key and granddaughter Erica Helton.

She is survived by her children, Melba Cain, Paula "Mickie" (Larry) Emmett, Steve Helton, Gainesville and Marcia Helton, Alpharetta. She is also survived by her Grandchildren, Freida (Michael) Haselden, Charlotte N.C, Andrea (Joe) Lambert, Newport News, Va., Chris Key, Chris Cain and Angie Cain, Gainesville, Great-Grandchildren Allison (Adam) Harris and Austin Gilbert and Great-Great Grandchildren Gavin and Abby Harris, Jackson Ga., and many special Nieces and Nephews.

“Miss Polly” ran the Kool Kone for many years before joining her sister Sue White, in operating Paul White Cleaners. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed spending time with friends and family. She loved to travel and was always up for a road trip or cruise.

The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Humane Society of Northeast Georgia or The Elks Aidmore Children’s Home in Conyers Ga., as Miss Polly loved all children and animals.

Visitation will be held Saturday, June 25, 2016 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm at Little Davenport Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held at a later date.
