Flossie Ann (Anderson) Smith

Flossie Ann Smith, 68 of Gainesville passed away Thursday March 15, 2018 at her residence.

Born in Lumpkin County, Mrs. Smith had lived in Hall County for most of her life.  She was the daughter of the late Grover and Birdie Eaton Anderson.  Retired from the United States Postal Service, Mrs. Smith had worked as a clerk at the Post Offices in Gainesville, Cleveland and Murrayville for a number of years.  She was a member of Cool Springs Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son, Richard (Rick) Smith, Jr., daughter and son-in-law, Rachel and Jody Bahin, all of Gainesville; grandchildren, Justin and Stacy Davis, Dahlonega; Jackson and Taylor Bahin, Megan Adams, all of Gainesville; great grandchildren, Berkley and Tanner Davis, Dahlonega; Kailyn Smith, Haidyn Adams, Brantley Adams, all of Gainesville; sister, Bessie Peters, Dahlonega; brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry and Martha Anderson, Jerry and Darlene Anderson; sister-in-law, Frankie Anderson, all of Dahlonega.  A number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Mrs. Smith is preceded in death by her husband, Richard William Smith, Sr.; sisters, Coralee Lilly, Mary Deanie Nall; brothers, Bud Anderson, Pete Anderson.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday March 18, 2018 in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home.  Rev. Franklin Grant will officiate.  Interment will follow in the Cool Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday March 17 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.
