Gerald Robert Waugh

Gerald Robert (Bud) Waugh, 66, of Gainesville, GA passed away on Thursday of an extended illness.

Born in Dahlgren, Illinois on March 24, 1948, he was the son of Maxine Waugh of Gainesville and the late Robert Waugh.

Mr. Waugh is survived by his wife of 47 years, Gayle Waugh; daughter and son in law, Andria and Craig Rutherford of Gainesville; son, Brett Jason Waugh of Roswell; grandsons, Jase Lint, Weber Lint and Parker Waugh. He is also survived by his sister and brother in law, Kay and Jerry Miller of Decatur, Illinois.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his sister, Kathie Prindle.

After retiring from Lucent Technologies, Bud was able to pursue his love of hunting and fishing with family, friends and his beloved Labrador, Gunner. He attended Liberty Bible Church in Oakwood.

A celebration of Life service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 21, 2014 at Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Rev. Billy McKinney will officiate.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, December 21st from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Liberty Bible Church, P.O. Box 1013 Oakwood, GA 30566.
