Jacqueline (Jackie) Hutchison, age 90, of Gainesville Georgia, passed away December 8, 2016 at The Oaks at Limestone after an extended illness.

She was born on October 8, 1926, to Jack Everidge and Lucille Everidge Beck.  Jackie graduated from Miami Edison High School and married her high school sweetheart, George Hutchison, in February 1945.  They lived in Miami, where a son and daughter were added to their family, and she was a loving homemaker.  The family relocated in June 1962 to Atlanta, Georgia, and she was employed for several years as church secretary at Sylvan Hills Baptist Church.  In 1971, Jackie and George moved to Gainesville, Georgia, and she worked until her retirement as an executive secretary at Leece-Neville Corporation.

Jackie and George found a welcoming church home at First Baptist Church on Green Street, and spent many wonderful years there in our Lord’s service.  They both took great pleasure in gardening, home projects, camping, traveling to visit friends, and the joys of seeing their grandkids and great-grandkids.

Jackie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, George P. Hutchison, and her son, Michael (Mike) A. Hutchison.  She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sandra (Sandy) and J.C. McFarland of Gainesville, Georgia, and daughter-in-law, Linda Purcell Hutchison, of Nashville, Tennessee. Also surviving are granddaughters, Jillian McFarland of Gainesville, Georgia, and Dana Peek of Rome, Georgia; grandsons, Doug (Shelli) Hutchison of Nashville, Tenn., Jeremy (Johnna) Hutchison of Nashville, Tenn., and Adam (Naomi) Hutchison of Waco, Texas.  Great-grandchildren are Ella, Harris, and Julianne Peek of Rome, Georgia, Silas, Isaac, Phillip and Jake Hutchison of Nashville, Tenn., and Emily, Nathan, Grace and Charlotte Hutchison of Waco, Texas.  Nephews and niece are Dale (Jann) Hutchison of Woodstock, GA., Kirk (Deanna) Hutchison of Monticello, Fla., and Holly (Michael) Hampton of Senoia, Georgia.

Dr. Bill Coates and Rev. Bruce Fields will officiate a celebration service at 2 pm in the First Baptist Church Chapel on Green Street on Saturday, January 21, 2017.  Visitation will follow the service in the Church Parlor.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Love Light Tree at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, the Ministry of Caring at First Baptist Church, or a charity of your choice.
