Janet (Jan) Elizabeth (Kellogg) Johnson

Janet (Jan) Kellogg Johnson born January 21, 1923 in Brooklyn, N.Y. went to be with the Lord on May 2, 2017.  She was the beloved wife of the late Russell (Rusty) Johnson MD for 65 years.  The raised their three daughters Audrey Johnson Mineo (Russell), Sara Johnson Korich (Michael) and Barbara (BJ) Griffith (Lloyd) in White Plains, N.Y.

They later moved to Lawrenceville and Dacula, GA where she was an active member of St. Edwards Episcopal Church.  They moved to Lanier Village in Gainesville, GA where she was an active member of Grace Episcopal Church.  She had a great love of people as evidenced by her volunteer work for over 40 years at local hospitals including Gwinnett Medical Center and North Georgia Medical Center.  She retired from volunteering at the age of 90.  She was also very active in the Tri Delta sorority.  Jan's greatest passion was her family and many, many friends.  She is survived by her three daughters and sons-in-law, 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Grace Episcopal Church, 422 Brenau Avenue, Gainesville, GA 30501 on Monday May 8th at 3:00 p.m.
