I was privileged to work for Judge O'Kelley as his legal secretary at the time he was nominated to be a U.S. District Judge. I went with him to the Federal Courthouse and helped him set up his office and start his illustrious career. I worked with him for four years before moving to Milwaukee and working for another wonderful Federal Judge. I am saddened to learn of his passing for I admired him greatly. A good and decent man. My condolences to Teeny and the family.

To Mrs. O'Kelly, Beau & Leigh, so sorry to have read about your dad's passing, somewhat late. I have very fond memories of Summers growing up as teenagers and spending time riding horses and swimming at the Lake with you guys and the Penningtons.

I had the pleasure of meeting at some length with Judge O'Kelley 40+ years ago at my then age 13 due to my interaction with Beau in Troop 59. The Judge presented as a highly intelligent and personable man - impressive in every way.

I wish Peace to the O'Kelleys.

My former husband, Fred Link, was a law clerk for Judge O'Kelley in the 70's. He and Teeny were so kind to us, having us to dinner and helping us grow as a new attorney and a new residents of Atlanta.Years later I saw him at the Atlanta Athletic Club. We shared so many memories. He was a kind and genuine human being and will be missed by so many people.

Teeny, You and Bill have been close friends since 1948. I regret not knowing of his illness until AJC today.
Call me if l can do anything for you before next Sat. We have moved back to Atlanta and live across from Emory Law School. Bill's cell voice mail is understandably full.

I was honored to have known Judge O'Kelley, unfortunately, for only a brief time. I was honored that he allowed me to assist him as he wrote, "Do Equal Right", his book chronicling the history of the United States District Court, Northern District of Georgia. His friendship will always hold a special place in my heart. My sympathies to Teeny, and the entire O'Kelley family.

Our family has lost one of its best friends. The country has lost a great man. But, Teeny, Leigh & Beau, our loss is nothing compared to the loss you are feeling. Our sincere condolences. May you find comfort in memories of a good man who loved each of you very dearly.
