Katharine Miller Neuhaus, 92, of Colorado Springs, CO, passed away suddenly on September 24, 2015 while visiting family in Clermont, GA. She was the wife of the late Charles Neuhaus, Sr.

Born in Kearny, NJ on July 9, 1923, she was the daughter of late James and Katharine Duncan. Katharine was a graduate of Kearny High School and Tri-County Tech (Anderson, SC).

Katharine lived and worked in Boston, MA, before marrying Charles and raising three sons in NJ. Later, she and Charles opened their home to foster children. Her passion for helping kids lead her to a career as a literacy volunteer and teacher lasting well into her 80’s. Always on the move, Katharine lived many places including NJ, MA, SC, FL, and CO, and loved travel, especially to her ancestral homeland of Scotland. She devoted countless hours to genealogical research of the Neuhaus and Duncan family trees. Katharine will be remembered for her sense of humor, life-long friendships, and insatiable curiosity.
