Louise (Hulsey) Barker

Mrs. Louise Hulsey Barker, 92, of Gainesville GA died Wednesday, April 12, 2017.

She was the daughter of the late C. C. and Lilli Mae Hulsey of Rockmart GA.  Most of her adult life was spent in Columbus GA and Alva FL.  She was a lively spirit and loved to paint, read, solve crossword puzzles, and sing old songs.

Lou was preceded in death by her parents; her husband James Burrell Barker; her sisters Margaret Hardman and Ann Jones; and her brother Herb Hulsey.

She leaves behind daughter and son-in-law Burlyn and Keith Finch, Lula GA; daughter and son-in-law Vicki and Ray Cox, Appling GA; and daughter and son-in-law Paula and Jan Jennings, Nashville TN.  Seven grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren along with a number of nieces and nephews share many fun memories of “Lulu”.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to Georgia Mountain Food Bank, Gateway Shelter for Battered Women, or the Salvation Army.
