Mildred Jeanette Wilson

Mrs. Mildred Jeanette Wilson, 86 of Gillsville died Friday August 26, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm Monday August 29, 2016 at the Liberty Baptist Church, Lula, with the Rev. Chad Buffington, Rev. Jess Odell and Rev. Chris Bryant , Interment to follow in the church cemetery, Mrs. Wilson will be placed in the Church at 1:30 pm Monday to lie instate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday August 28, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm.

Mrs. Wilson was born on July 15, 1930 in Banks county to the late Johnny and Annie Mae Reid Carlan. She was retired from the Milliken New Holland plant. She was a faithful member of Liberty Baptist Church where she was a charter member. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Wilson, and her brother, Hoyt Carlan.

She is survived by her children: Carol Wilson Teatino, Diane & Donny Odell, David & Becky Wilson, Annette & Bill Pirkle and Stanley & Carolyn Wilson.

Siblings: Grace Gowder, Thelma Brown, Evelyn Baker, Brenda Garrison, Swayne, Gene, Paul David and Randall Carlan.

She is also survived by 14 grandchildren: Gregg Teatino, Sara Bryant, Jess Odell, Christina Erb, Angie Wilson, David Joe Wilson, Andy Pirkle, Bobby Pirkle, Ashley Cato, Brandi Pirkle, Billie Jo Fitzhenry, Jeffery, Jeremy and Jason Wilson, 35 great-grandchildren, all who loved their grannie. She always was happy to see her grandbabies.

We would like to thank, Brandi Pirkle (her granddaughter), Sharon Oliver and Angie Ellis for helping us care for our mother.
