Miriam Ann (Freeland) Adams

Miriam Freeland Adams, 68, of Gainesville passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2015.

Born in Dahlonega, Ga on August 10, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Dorsey Freeland and Alla Lee Higgins Freeland.  Mrs. Adams had lived most of her life in Hall and Lumpkin Counties.  She was a graduate of Lumpkin County High School and was retired from Christian Financial Concepts where she worked as an administrative assistant to Mr. Burkett.  Mrs. Adams was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Adams.

She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Kathy and Donnie Brewster of Gainesville; son and daughter in law, Timmy and Lawonna Adams of Dahlonega; grandchildren, Dillon, Amberly and Ashlyn Brewster of Gainesville, Micah and Noah Adams of Dahlonega; sister, Elizabeth Forrester of Gainesville; brother, Benny Freeland, Gainesville; A number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. Rev. Stephen Adams and  Rev. Steve Baker will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Rev. Les Fuller officiating. The family will receive friends at Little & Davenport  Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
