Mrs. Estelle Young Hurley

Mrs. Estelle Young Hurley, 95 of Gainesville died Monday October 17, 2016 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

​A lifelong resident of Hall County, Mrs. Hurley was the daughter of the late John Wiley Young and Bertha Peck Young.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Hopewell United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law; Elaine and Bimbo Briscoe, Gainesville; grandchildren, Beth and Michael Johnson, Ben and Kelly Briscoe, all of Gainesville; great grandchildren, Nate Briscoe, Owen Johnson, Laine Johnson, Lindsey Smith; great great grandchild, Brody Crawford;  brother and sister-in-law, Ernest and Mary Young, Gainesville. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Mrs. Hurley is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Deward W. Hurley, brothers, Flavil Young, Glenn Young, Hugh Young and a sister, Annabelle Young.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday October 19, 2016 in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home.  Rev. Marilane Brooks and Rev. Jeff Coleman will officiate.  Interment will be in the Hopewell United Methodist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday October 18, 2016 from 4-8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to The Highlands United Methodist Church, 3678 Cleveland Highway, Gainesville, Ga. 30506.
