Pheobe Lois (Day) Peck

Mrs. Pheobe Lois Day Peck died at home in Flowery Branch on August 30, following an extended illness.  She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. H. C. and Esther Day.

Mrs. Peck was a lifelong resident of Hall County.   She was retired from Mitsubishi in Braselton.  Her favorite past times were gardening, designing and making quilts, and traveling.  Her greatest passion, however, was taking care of her family.  Mrs. Peck was dearly loved by her immediate family, her extended family, and her church family.  Mrs. Peck was noted for her quiet demeanor and frank observations. 

She was a member of Flat Creek Baptist Church where she was a faithful member for seventy-two years. 

She is survived by her husband of sixty-five years, George Peck; two daughters, Elaine (Earl) Smith, and Gale (Gary) Park; grandchildren Melissa and Stacy Philips, Amber and Mike Price, Allison and Brian Moore, Emily Park, Adam and Randi Smith; great-grandchildren, Hope and Hannah Phillips, Noah Park, Brianna, Jacob, Ella, and Hudson Moore, Elena and Bennett Price, Kendalle Robins and Alexander Smith; sisters, Velma Orr, Annie Mae Millwood, Mary (Buddy) Wallace, Marie (Roy) Bartlett, and Brenda (Buster) Tankersley; sisters-in-law, Doris Schoonover and Deborah Day; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at Flat Creek Baptist Church. The Rev. Stacy Phillips and Rev. Mike Taylor, and Rev. Joe Vernon will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at Little Davenport Funeral Home.The family requests that in lieu of flowers those wishing to do so may make donations to Flat Creek Baptist Church Building Fund, 5504 Flat Creek Rd.
