Ray Miller, 87 of Gainesville passed away Monday, January 15, 2018 after an extended illness.

Ray was the son of the late Thomas and Ida Edwards Miller.  He was a member of Pleasant Union Baptist Church since 1988.  Ray retired from AT&T.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Janice Roberts Miller; sons and daughters-in-law, Danny and Janien Miller, Randy and Jannie Miller; daughter, Cindy Miller; grandchildren, Kyle (Josh) Miller, Kody (Brooke) Miller, Brandon Boothby, Kendal (Drew) Poarch, Marissa Boothby; sisters, Inez (Ronnie) Gunter, Jeanette (Richard) Bull; brother Harvey Miller, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Ray is preceded in death by his parents, brother and sister-in-law, Lindbergh and Margaret Miller; sister, Barbara Lester, and sister-in-law, Rachel Miller.  

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 19, 2018 at Timberridge Baptist Church.  Rev. Doug Tritt, Rev. Kody Miller, and Rev. Danny Miller will officiate.  Interment will follow in the Church cemetery.  The family will receive friends at Little & Davenport Funeral Home Thursday January 18, 2018 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.
