My precious Margie, I am so sorry about David and that he is no longer present with you but with Jesus. I say sorry because i know how much you must miss him and those smiles and laughs! The being at home together moments are so loud now. God will comfort his girl and in very special ways; sometimes especially during those crying jags that raw grief just brings and then when you are remembering and replaying so many events with David and they will come forever but right now they will flood your days. God does that to give you comfort. I remember our good times praying together before worship began. I love you, Pat Thomas patricia-thomas240@comcast.net

Dear Aunt Margie, David Junior, Jeremy, Michelle, Suzanne and Family,
We are so very sorry for the tremendous loss of Uncle David and can only imagine how difficult this must be for all of you. He was such a wonderful man who touched so many people and most of all his family. We hate that weren't able to attend the funeral, but understand that it was a beautiful service honoring his life. If there is anything we can do to help at this time, feel free to contact us (706) 248-1412 and charis4hoy@gmail.com.
Love,
Christy and Chris

My most sincere and heartfelt condolences for your loss of a loving husband, father, grandfather, friend, and just all other superlatives, and most importantly, a fellow rider. It was a privilege, but with a heavy heart, to place David's Ghost Bike. Words cannot assuage your grief and loss. We will never forget David. Hope to have more for you in the coming days. I will keep in touch through Margaret.

David and I have fond memories of David, Margie, David, Michelle, Suzanne, and Jeremy in our younger days as young families at Cleveland UMC. Our children, Vida, Matt, and Zac,and your children had many happy days together in Sunday School, VBS, and Sunday afternoon activities. I remember them, the Marshall children, the Kirkpatricks, Aikens, and many others who made the church so special. I especially remember David and Margie, and the leadership they provided just by being themselves. Even though we lost touch after leaving Cleveland, we always remembered the special place you had in our lives. We are saddened to hear of David's passing, and hope that the obvious love, respect, and admiration felt for David will help you in the days ahead. We are thinking of you all. Gloria and David Denton, Cumming

David Fitzpatrick was an amazing man who taught me that no one is too young to hear the Lord's call. He was a great pastor with a kind heart and an infamous love for converse shoes and Hawaiian shirts.

David followed the Lord well and showed others how to do the same by his example. He will be missed greatly by those who knew him as a pastor and friend. Our deepest condolences to his lovely wife, Margi, his children and the rest of his family. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

I am sorry for your loss. David was three years ahead of me in school but I remember all the kids coming with Mr. Fitzpatrick to see my older brother who had been very sick and was the FFA president in about 1956. Mr. Fitzpatrick set the example of a quiet Christian gentleman that allowed David to follow in his footsteps. My thoughts and prayers will be of your family in this time of sadness but it also a time of rejoicing that David's work is done and his homecoming just the beginning .

We can't express enough how sorry we are for your loss. It has been a joy to get to know Michelle and Noah through Writing Pals last year. We personally did not know "Mr. Fitz." However through all we have learned through reading the many condolences this week, we have been touched by his life. I know the students at GHA, including Abigail loved him. I am sad that she will not to be in his class and learn from him. He will be greatly missed there. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. We pray God's peace and blessing for you over the coming days.

Mrs. Margie, David, Michelle, Suzanne and Jeremy, trying to find words to match the emotions inside is really hard. I am so sorry, yet so thankful that you do not grieve without hope. I do not have to tell you how wonderful I thought your daddy was. He was, and will always be, so precious to me. I am praying peace over you all, peace beyond understanding. I am rejoicing in the fact that we will all see him again. I am smiling when I think that he is exactly where he always sought to be, at the feet of Jesus. I love you all, always.

Dear Margie, David Jr., Jeremy, Michelle and Suzanne,

We are so sorry for your pain and grief in the loss of David. He is now full of joy in the presence of Jesus but his absence leaves heartache for you and all who loved him.

It is bittersweet yet comforting to think of our son Chris already being there to bear hug David and welcome him to Heaven.

Eternity will be wonderful but until then our prayers are with you. May God constantly surround you with His amazing love and deep peace.

Love,

We will dearly miss this soft spoken man of authority. I say soft spoken because the beauty in his authority is he never forced it. It came quietly and calmly and we all respected and loved him at GHA. Our children are better for having him in their lives. We parents are also better for the wisdom he shared and the seeds he planted in our children's hearts. He met our children where they were and helped them to understand very complex theological concepts that escape some adults. Thank you for sharing him with us. We were truly blessed!
