Sarah Ravan Moore

Sarah Ravan Moore passed away peacefully on Wednesday.  Born in Mossy Creek, GA, she was a long time Gainesville resident.  She is a graduate of Gainesville High School and attended Brenau Women’s College.

She was an entrepreneur who owned a drapery business.   For many years she served as an officer for the Women’s Christian Temperance Union at both the state and local level and volunteered often at her church of over 70 years - St Paul United Methodist Church. 

She was a devoted wife and mother. 

She was preceded by her husband of over 65 year, James Norman Moore, Sr. and is survived by her children James Norman Moore, Jr. and Jane Moore Wood and their families.

There will be a private graveside service. The family will receive friends at Little & Davenport Funeral home on Saturday, October 25, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
