Thomas L Brock

Thomas Lendon Brock, 92, of Gainesville, GA passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 23, 2016 with all his children present by his side.

Born on July 30, 1923, Mr. Brock was a lifelong resident of Hall County. He was the son of the late Thomas H Brock and Bertha Hensley Brock.

Mr. Brock was a retired poultry farmer, an Army Veteran of WWII having served in the invasion at Sicily, Normandy, North France and Germany. He received medals for Good Conduct, American Defense Service Ribbon, and European African Middle Eastern Theatre 4 Battle Stars. Mr. Brock was a member of Timber Ridge Baptist Church.

Mr. Brock was an outdoorsman, loving to hunt and fish with many trophies hanging on his wall.

Love of God, Love of Country and Love of Family is what we think of when we think of Daddy.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Brock is preceded in death by his wife, Nerine Poole Brock; sisters, Lois Spurlock and Ruth Davidson.

Mr. Brock is survived by his children, Vickie Brock, Dana Brock and wife Suzanne, and Steve Brock; 3 grandchildren, Stephanie Brock, Danielle Brock and Daniel Brock; sister, Eunice Poole; brothers, Reuben Brock and Marvin Brock; brother in law, Grady Davidson and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday April 28, 2016 at Timber Ridge Baptist Church. Rev. Chris York and Rev. Dwayne Ryals will officiate .Mr. Brock will lie in state at the church from 2:00 p.m. until the service hour. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Little & Davenport Funeral Home on Wednesday April 27th from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
