Winnie G. Brookshire

Winifred G. “Winnie” Brookshire age 80  of  Gainesville, Ga. died Saturday March 28, 2015 in Cumming, Ga.

Services will be held 2 pm Tuesday March 31, 2015 at Harmony Baptist Church in Dawson county,

Rev. Gary Coffee and Rev. David Skinner will officiate and burial will follow in the Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 4 to 8 pm Monday March 30, 2015 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Brookshire was born in Dawsonville, Ga. and lived all of her life in both Hall and Dawson Counties, Her parents were the Late William and Lula Reese Garrett and she was preceded in death by 6 siblings, she retired from and had worked many years with Georgia Chair  Co. and was a member of Harmony Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years – Fermon Brookshire, daughter and son in law – Nona and Richard Turk , Gainesville, son and daughter in law – Randall and Deborah Brookshire , Gainesville, son – Doug Brookshire,  Cumming, daughter and son in law – Anita and Gary Smith, Gainesville,  Grandchildren - Macy Turk, Gainesville,  Ryan and Mistie Brookshire, Ball Ground,  Keith and Liz Brookshire, Woodstock, Mary and Chris Wingo, Murrayville,  Cody Brookshire, Athens,  Suzanna Brookshire,  Gainesville,  Amber and Stephen Hopper, Gainesville,  Alan Smith, Gainesville, and Ethan Smith , Gainesville  and 9 Great-grandchildren.  Twin Brother and sister in law - Wayne and Louise Garrett, Gainesville,  sister – Bobbie Holland, Dawsonville, sister and brother in law – Pat and Dean Couch,  brother – June Garrett, Dahlonega, brother and sister in law – Leland and Norma Jean Garrett, Dawsonville,  a number of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends also survive.
