Anna Mary (Szabo) Partlow

Anna Mary Partlow, 96, of Gainesville and a long time native of California, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at her residence in the Lanier Village Estates.

Ann was born on June 17, 1920 in Gary, IN. She completed her Catholic education and went on to help her mother run their family store before going on to Business College and a career as a legal secretary.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Alvie R. Partlow, and her sister Elizabeth Kirk.

Ann is survived by her daughter Suzanne Earley, son-in-law, John Earley and grandchildren, Jaret G. Earley and Laura Earley Thomas. She was known as “Gigi” to her seven Great-grandchildren who adored her. She is also survived by her nephews Tom Kirk, WayneParker, and Charles Parker.

As an active member of her community, Ann was a Girl Scout Leader and a founding member of her church, St. James the Less, in La Crescenta, California where she also served as a Church Council member and Lector. She was a current member of Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in Dawsonville, GA.

Ann enjoyed golf, square dancing, travel, bridge, and lately bingo. She lived in California before moving to Georgia in 2012. The family thanks the caregivers and staff at Lanier Village Estatesfor blessing Ann with their friendships.

A memorial service will be held at Lanier Village Estates, 4000 Village View Dr., Gainesville, GA at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 17th.
