Mr. Skaggs was one of the nicest people you would ever want to meet. I came to know Mr. Skaggs when I was working for Attorney Woodrow Stewart in Gainesville. He and his wife were the sweetest couple. Every time Mr. Skaggs came to our office, he would always bring me roses, beautiful roses, that he grew himself. The family will be in my thoughts and prayers. May God comfort you all at this difficult time.

I began my career in poultry in 1964 at the then Georgia Broilers. I'm not sure exactly what Mr. Skaggs title was at that time but to me he was the man in charge. That company changed names many times over the 10 years or so that I worked there but Mr. Skaggs did not change. I will always remember him as an example of how an executive and a man should be, friendly, kind and down to earth. He treated everyone the same with his respect. The poultry industry and our community have lost a good man.
My condolences and prayers for the family of such a wonderful person.

Louis & Rita, my sincere condolences to the family on the passing of your father who was counted as one of the people of "the greatest generation". We will have a beautiful gathering and reunion when we arrive in heaven, praising and serving our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Papa Coy was such a gracious and positive person. We met through Jonathan and Carmen's relationship and marriage. It was clear he was a special person to them, and he was such a great mentor and friend. How wonderful that he was blessing the whole Skaggs family for many years. There is never a good time to let go of those we love. You will be in my mind, heart, and prayers.
