Dennis Jackie Hicks

Dennis J. Hicks, 68 of Gainesville passed away Saturday December 7, 2019 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Born in Jackson County, Mr. Hicks had lived in Hall County for most of his life.  He was the son of the late Jack and Frances Wilson Hicks.  Mr. Hicks was retired from Wrigley's and was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Shelby Smallwood Hicks, Gainesville; daughter, Denisha Waldrop, Greenville, SC; son and daughter-in-law, Alex and Nicki Hicks, Hoschton; grandchildren, Lacey Burns; Kayla Burns; Bryson Hicks and Brantley Hicks; great grandchild, Colton Wiley.  Mr. Hicks is survived by four brothers, one sister and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Mr. Hicks is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and a brother.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday December 10, 2019 at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.  Rev. Steve Baker will officiate.  Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at Little & Davenport Funeral Home Monday December 9 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
