Gary Spencer Weller

Gary S. Weller, a resident of Gainesville, GA for 10 years passed away at his home on Monday, May 14, 2018. He was 82. The son of the late John and Irma Weller, Gary was born in Buffalo, NY and lived most of his life there but, moved to Gainesville with his wife Mary to be closer to their family.

In 1956, Gary joined the Army and became a Paratrooper in 82nd Airborne. After his service in the Military, he received a Technical Degree from Erie County Tech after which he joined ABC Supplies where he played a major role in growing the company nationally. He spent most of his career in Sales Management.  Gary was always very Patriotic. After his retirement, he founded the North GA Airborne Association.

Gary was a wonderful Spouse, Father and Grandfather. He enjoyed meeting new people, playing the saxophone with a special interest in German music and spending time with his family, friends, neighbors and his pet dog, Sofie.  He took great pleasure in working outdoors and helping those in need.

In addition to his parents, Gary is predeceased by his brothers Warren Weller, Paul (Shayne) Weller, and Bruce Weller.

Gary is survived by his wife Mary Weller; son Jay (Monica) Weller; Keith (Michelle) Weller; grandchildren Julian Glasser, Ethan and Ryan Weller.

A church service will be performed at Chicopee United Methodist Church on June 6th at 11 am.

A Military Honors ceremony will be performed at his final resting place Georgia National Cemetery on June 7th at 11 am.
