Walton was a kind support for me at a very difficult time in my young life. I have prayed for him throughout the years and am grateful he is at peace. My prayers and love to all the Moore family. Some of my favorite memories from Gainesville are with this family. ❤️

Nancy, Ash, and Marg, you all have been in my prayers and my heart this week as you mourn Walton's passing. Our family will never forget his generosity, kindness, and great sense of humor; he was a role model for many. May the Lord's peace and wisdom always be with you now and forever.
I'm so sorry I can't make it to Gainesville to give you hugs at the memorial service tomorrow.
Love,
Amos and Georganne

Dear Nancy, hoping this finds you beginning to cope with this sad loss. I don't know any other illness that is more soul destroying than Alzheimers. Walt was such a dear man. I know you have missed him for years now but you still must grieve. I love you and will be thinking of you every day. Really wanted to come on Monday for the service but I am taking Charlye Ruth (Gina's middle daughter) to look at a college. She is graduating next Wed. Can't believe how time has flown. Love to you and your daughters. I am sending a donation to Alzheimers Research Foundation in Walt's name. Love, Gully

Dearest Nancy, My heart goes out to you now - I know how hard and long the road you have traveled has been. I admire your compassion and courage and hope as Bill makes the same journey, I can emulate your strength. Take care of you - enjoy your beautiful daughters and grandchildren. Much love. Ruth

Dear Ashley, Nancy Margie and family...I was blessed to have known Walton while he and my dad Pete were residents at Dogwood. He was such a precious man. I'll never forget the sweet reaction I would get with just the the mention of your name, Ashley. I know you will all have such a void in your lives with his passing, especially Nancy. But, I know you also have so many beautiful moments you shared over the many years you had together. Always remember those special times.
I send you all my thoughts and prayers.
Beth

Walton always had that smile. He was always the same every time you saw him. I met him the first time when I worked for Attorney Woody Stewart. Everyone loved and respected Walton. He will be truly missed.

I grew up with June and Jean and met Walton when I was 14 or 15...we played tennis together many times...their parents George and Grace lived next door to my grandparents..."kind, nice and fine people" describe the Moore's...Walton truly is one of my favorite people I have known...always smiling and happy with a kind word or two to say...I am certain many will miss him as I will.

Nancy, Ashley, and Margie, your husband/father earned a permanent place in my heart the very first time I heard him speak. He was on stage at Georgia Mountain Center, opening a new school year from his position on the Board. He spoke of his love, hopes and dreams for his twin, teenage daughters. He extended his hope to all the children of Gainesville City. I was an inexperienced teacher, and a daughter, and I hung on every word. I loved and admired him always. My heart is with you now.
