Harold William Kanady

Harold William Kanady age 79 of Murrayville, Ga. died Saturday June 22, 2019 at his residence. Funeral service will be held at 11 am Tuesday June 25, 2019 at the Yellow Creek Baptist Church, the Rev. Roger Stover, Rev. Billy Poole and Rev. Steve Barrett will officiate, burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 4 to 8 pm.

Mr. Kanady was born in Gainesville, Ga. and was a lifetime resident of this area, he was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Ruth Walden Kanady, he was a US Army veteran and in his retirement he joined Veterans Alliance Honor Guard, an organization that provides military honors to fallen veterans. Mr. Kanady was a member of the Yellow Creek Baptist Church and owned and operated Kanadys Superette in Murrayville, Ga. for over 28 years and he also retired from the US Postal Service as a mail carrier. 

The family would like to give special thanks to the Hospice of N.E. Ga. Medical center for their loving care and also to their Angel here on Earth.

Survivors include, daughter and son in law, Rena Kanady Stover and Roger, grandson and wife, Josh Stover and Erin, granddaughter and husband, Olevia Stover Swenson and Cody, 2 great grand children, Kinslee (Special K) Stover and Colton (Coltrain) Stover, a sister and brother in law, Betty Jean Gaddis and Milton, sister, Sandra Boothby as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
