Martha (Townley) Talley

Martha Townley Talley, age 75, of Gainesville, GA passed away on Friday, July 28, 2017.

Martha was a lifelong resident of Hall County.   She was a district manager for Olan Mills many years.  She was also the President of Parents Without Partners, Gainesville, GA chapter several years.  Martha retired from The Gainesville Times as a collection manager.   

Martha was preceded in death by her son, Franklin Eugene Talley; her parents, Clyde and Louise Townley; and brother, Dean Townley of Gainesville. 

She is survived by her daughters Patricia Ann Talley-Holland of Dahlonega, and Elizabeth Talley Dacus and husband Stephen of Forsyth County; granddaughter, Jessie Rae Johnson of Auburn, AL; grandsons, Craig Wilson Ford of Charleston, WV, Justin Dacus, Jordan Dacus, Jeremy Dacus and Jarrett Dacus, all of Forsyth County, GA; brother, James Townley; sisters, Mary Gober, Ruby Graham, and Nadine Crumley, all of Gainesville; and many nieces and nephews. 

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 13, 2017 at Cool Springs Baptist Church of Gainesville, GA.  Rev. Franklin Grant will officiate.   The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service. 

In lieu of flowers, donations for funeral expenses will be accepted by Patricia Talley Holland.
