Mary C. (Conner) Martin

Funeral services will be held at St. Paul United Methodist Church on Friday, September 29, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. for Mary C. Martin, 89, of Gainesville.  The Rev. Geoff Grubbs will officiate.  The family will receive friends prior to the funeral from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. on Friday September 29, 2017, at St. Paul United Methodist Church.  Mrs. Martin died Saturday September 23, 2017 at her home.

Mrs. Martin was born in Hall County on January 9, 1928, to the late Ulys Conner and Mae Rives.  She and her late husband J.B., owned the Brenau Tea Room for 25 years.  She was well known for her wonderful cakes.  She was a longtime member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and the Anglers Sunday School class.  She attended Antioch Camp Meeting every year.

Mrs. Martin is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James Bailey Martin, Jr., and son Ricky Lee Martin.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Chris and Sam Rundell, Pendergrass, sister, Bea Pirkle, Gainesville;  5 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
