Mary Ellene (Wooten) Sailers

Mrs. Mary Ellene Sailers, 94 of Gainesville died Thursday August 3, 2017 following an extended illness.

Born in Habersham County, Mrs. Sailers had lived in Hall County for most of her life.  She was the daughter of the late Ed and Annie Brooks Wooten. She along with her late husband were self-employed entrepreneurs.  She was a member of the Chicopee United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne and John Bagby, Flowery Branch; son, Don Sailers, Gainesville; grandchildren, Joseph Sailers, Caitlin and Brian Senter, Elizabeth and Robert Shults; great grandchildren, Skyler Grindle, Tyler Grindle, Kenzie Sailers, Brian Senter, Jr., and John Connor Senter.  A number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Mrs. Sailers is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Y.T. Sailers, brothers, Grover Wooten, Claude Wooten, Edwin Wooten, sisters, Pearl Stonecypher and Bessie Sudowski.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday August 6, 2017 in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home.  Rev. Ken Martin will officiate.  Interment will be at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday August 5 from 5-7 p.m. and again Sunday from 3- 4 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Northeast Georgia  or one's favorite charity.
