Merion "Richard" Duncan

A Celebration of Life will be held for Richard Duncan 82 of Gillsville, Ga. at 2:00PM Sat. Nov. 4, 2017 in the Chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. The Rev. Shon Thomas will officiate. The family will receive friends from 12-2pm Sat. prior to the service. Mr. Duncan died Tuesday Oct. 31, 2017 at his residence. Mr. Duncan was retired from Coats & Clark after more than 27 years of service. He also worked a number of years for Hall County Waste Management.

Richard had a great love spending time with his Grandchildren & Great Grandchildren. He also enjoyed Hunting & Fishing. Mr. Duncan was preceded in death by His Parents Theodore & Clara Smith Duncan, and a brother Claude Duncan. Mr. Duncan served in the U.S. Army.

Mr. Duncan is survived by his wife of 65 years Shirley Duncan, of Gillsville, Son & Daughter-n-law Mark & Kim Duncan, also of Gillsville, Brother & Sister-n-law Billy & Millie Duncan, of Duluth, Granddaughter & Husband Dessa & Clay Fisher of Danielsville Granddaughter Clarissa Duncan of Gillsville, Granddaughter & Husband Anna & Blake Couch, of Dawsonville. 5 Great Grandchildren Eve Fisher, Savannah Duncan, Henry Fisher, Kimberly Burdette, and Rosemary Couch.
