Merla Ann (Wilson) Campbell

Merla Ann Wilson Campbell, 82, of Lula, was forever healed on December 7, 2019.

The family will receive friends on Monday December 9th from 4:00 until 8:00pm at Little-Davenport Funeral Home in Gainesville.  A graveside funeral service will be held at 1pm Tuesday December 10th at Whitehall Baptist Church.  Vic Wilson, her beloved baby brother, will officiate. 

Merla Ann was born in New Holland and resided there until her marriage to Dean Campbell on December 3, 1955.  She was the loving daughter of Glyn and Grace (Kinard) Wilson and doting sister to Garry and Vic. Before retiring to become a stay-at-home mom and homemaker, Merla Ann was a legal secretary for both EC Brannon, Sr and Jr.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Dean, brother Garry, and sister-in-law Deanie.  Merla Ann is survived by her brother Vic (Joan) Wilson, Sons and Daughters-in-Law:  Tracy and Cindy Campbell, Casey and Tracey Lynn Campbell, Daughters and Sons-in-Law: Melissa and Pete Murphy, Malana and Wayne Parson.  Grandchildren: Beth (Steve) Soto, Nic (Kristen) Murphy, Brenna Parson, Kelyn Parson, Trey Campbell, Layna Parson, Ansleigh Campbell, Ty Campbell.  Great-Grands:  Hunter Nesbitt, Christopher Soto, Emmalynn Soto, Savannah Soto, Dean Soto. Niece: Dana (Todd) Breedlove and Nephews: Darryl Wilson, Scott Wilson and Drew Wilson; and great-nieces: Marah Wilson, Leigh Wilson, Ruby Grace Breedlove and great-nephews: TJ Breedlove, Jackson Wilson, Grayson Wilson.

Merla Ann made it known to all that her children and grandchildren were her reason for living.  All she ever wanted to be was a good mother and she far exceeded that goal.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
