Ralph Carl Ivey

Ralph Carl Ivey age 91 of Gainesville died Wednesday January 1, 2020 at the N.E. Ga. Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Saturday January 4, 2020 at the First Congregational Holiness Church in Gainesville, Ga. Mr. Ivey will lie in state from 1 pm till the funeral hour, The Rev. Keith Phagan, Rev. Wayne Hicks and David Pierce will officiate, burial will follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday January 2nd from 6 to 8pm and Friday January 3rd from 6 to 8pm.

Mr. Ivey was born in Wheeling, W.Va., but he lived all of his life in Hall County.  He was a member of Free Chapel Worship Center where he was a deacon for many years and worked at Pierce Wholesale for over 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Carolyn Lark Ivey, a grandson, Brinson Glahn, 2 sisters, Mildred Smith and Joyce Collins and 3 brothers, Owen Ivey, Jerry Ivey and Allen Ivey.

Survivors include: daughter, Joan Carolyn Glahn, son and daughter in law, Ronald and Dianne Ivey, grandchildren, Brian and Tracy Ivey, Brianna Glahn and Lauren Glahn,  great grandchildren, Abigail Ivey, Ansley Ivey, AvaGrace Ivey and Everly Glahn. 4 brothers, Leroy, Jim, Jeff and David Ivey and a sister, Hortense Brewer as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
