Ralph Villyard Obituary

Ralph Clarence Villyard, 82, of Gainesville passed away Saturday August 10, 2019.

A lifelong resident of Hall County, Mr. Villyard was a member of Prospect Baptist Church in Hall County and served his country in the United States Army. He retired from the Department of Transportation, and loved farming. He was happiest when he was on his tractor, and was hard working and loved his cows.

Ralph was the son of the late Clarence and Estelle Chastain Villyard, and was also preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Villyard; and sister, Grace Villyard.

He is survived by his children, Brenda and Mitch Truelove, Gainesville; George V. “Junior” and Patsy Hand, Florida; David and Dianne Hand, Gainesville; Glenda and David Stowe, Murrayville; and Denise Hand Jackson, Gainesville. 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and a number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 13, 2019 in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. 

Rev. Danny Jones will officiate. 

Interment will follow in the Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, August 13 from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
