Dear Jim,
Our deepest condolences to you and all the family. Ruth Ann was a special gem. She gave and gave of herself, and those students who took her classes were lucky indeed to share her humor, her no nonsense approach, and her deep care for those less fortunate. Including Pat, who needed a home. Our hearts are with you, Jim. Take care of your own goodself.

Message from Dale Allison, Chairman Union County Republican Party
November 29, 2017 2:47 PM

Jim, Sorry to hear about Ruth. I didn't know she had passed the evening we spoke in Suches at the Republican meeting. I was out of town and was not able to attend the service for Ruth. Even though we were on different sides of the political fence, I will never forget you and Ruth accepting my invitation to our Republican debate as well as Ruth's invitation to our Republican State Representative Stephen Allison to speak at the Democrat Party meeting. Ruth recognized that political differences can still be addressed with civility. Jim, your loss is also our loss. God Bless.

Ruth Ann was such a sweet person. I had sit with her at the Democrats meeting many times. I am sorry I cannot attend her service due to injuries suffered in a recent auto accident. But my thoughts & prayers are with you all during the time.
