Still so sad about Trinh. Whenever I start thinking about her and what an extraordinary person she was, I’m overwhelmed with grief.
I guess in sending this “note”, I want you to know that Trinh is not forgotten and that she was much loved.

Trinh was such a bright light. Such an incredibly gifted lady with such a quick wit and wonderful personality. I will miss our sing-alongs and her wonderful smile.

I want to express my deepest condolences for your tragic loss. I was classmates with Trinh at Princeton University, and we kept in touch over the years as we both pursued our law careers. Trinh was a beautiful soul and amazing human being who brought light and levity to everyone she met. When I think of Trinh, I remember her beautiful smile, contagious laughter, one-of-a-kind sense of humor, and heart of gold. I hope these memories bring you peace in this very difficult time.

I was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Trinh Huynh. As a fellow GHS student and debate team member, I looked up to Trinh as a role model and exemplar of balancing academics, extra-curricular contribution, and social involvement. I loved getting to know Trinh and Dao in high school, and I feel honored to have known such a remarkable family. I will always remember Trinh's quick wit, intelligence, warmth, and kindness. My prayers, love, and condolences to you in this difficult time.

Sincerely,
Merri Su Wilson Ruhmann

I cried reading your comments...“I don’t have any baby pictures. There were no family photos, no baby scrapbooks. ... This is my refugee processing photo.” she wrote. You were not alone...we all are mortals...but you left early. You are not here to read this, but lots of love from me.

My connection to your beautiful daughter, sister, aunt and beloved friend Trinh was nothing more than our shared city of Atlanta. I am saddened to learn that one of our own, and clearly one of our best, was taken from us all so senselessly and tragically. My thoughts go out to her friends and family. The story of her life inspired me, and I am certain she was an inspiration to countless others throughout her lifetime. May she rest peacefully and as beautifully as she lived.

The whole Westfall family, from Kate in NYC, to Kristen in New Orleans, Kimberly and her family in Cumming, and Faye and I in Gainesville, share your grief at this senseless loss. And yet we also share the joy of having known Trinh and her amazing family. May the light that she brought into the world be amplified many times over through those of us who knew and loved her.

I am deeply saddened by her tragic death.

I am so incredibly saddened and sorry for your loss. I was a year ahead of Trinh at Princeton and just came across this story on my Facebook page. I did not know her in college, but immediately recognized her beautiful, smiling face. The stories about Trinh, and what her friends and colleagues are saying, are incredible. She was clearly an angel among us who was senselessly taken from this world way too soon. Your family are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Knowing and working with Trinh for the brief time period I was fortunate enough to share our love of the Georgia Bar High School Mock Trial program (along with Carl Gebo and the fabulous teams representing Grady High School) will always be one of my favorite memories associated with living and working in Georgia. She was a constant inspiration in the way that she juggled the many roles required to motivate, inspire, support and nurture the students -- attorney and witness alike. While I remember sharing a few meals with her during which we discussed life and work and passions other than mock trial, I realize that Trinh was so modest and generous in her listening, that I didn't appreciate the full measure and scope of who she was in the community at large. Realizing it now, I stand in deeper awe and gratitude for her having shared herself and her gifts so freely. For her family and closest friends, I send love and prayers as you navigate the grief that her passing as she did gives rise to. I pray that her memory will always be a blessing and an inspiration to all who knew her. I know it will be for me. Peace and Love. Sally
