Walter Lincoln Highton, Jr.

Walter Lincoln Highton, Jr. passed away peacefully on the evening of June 19, 2019 in Baldwin, GA at the age of 76.  Walter leaves behind his special friend Peggy (Ted) Garner of Gainesville, GA, his brother Lawrence (Judy) Highton of Puyallup, WA along with many friends and church family from Dahlonega Church of Christ, Atlanta Road Church of Christ, Lumpkin and Hall County Senior Centers.

Walter will be remembered for his sincere compassion for others, his desire to help someone if he was able and especially his love for sharing his baptism story.

Peggy wishes to thank Northwoods Assisted Living in Dahlonega GA for the many wonderful years he lived there and the home they provided, along with The Oaks-Scenic View in Baldwin GA for their love and care the past few months.  Walter felt truly blessed by those he knew and realized that family comes in many forms.

Per Walter's request, there will be no formal service held.

In remembrance of Walter, donations can be made to either Hall County Senior Center (434 Prior St SE, Gainesville, GA 30501) or Lumpkin County Senior Center (266 Mechanicsville Rd, Dahlonega, GA  30533).
