Aline (Cates) Stevenson

Mrs. Aline Cates Stevenson, 93, formerly of Murrayville, GA passed away Tuesday November 29, 2022, at North Georgia Assisted Living of Dawsonville.

Born in Detroit, Michigan Aline Stevenson was the daughter of Henry Cates and Veda Hurst. She had lived in Hall County over 64 years and spent most of that time as a homemaker raising six children. After her husband retired and until her husband’s death in 2012, they gardened and sold produce at the market in Hall County.

She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 60 years (Luther Stevenson). She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Nathan and Beverly Stevenson; daughter, Nancy Dunton; daughters and sons-in-law, Jane and Lamar Askew, Murrayville; Elaine and Bruce Abbott, Dawsonville; Jennifer and Wes Fogle, Gainesville; Joan and Mike Stokes, Gainesville; over 35 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Christine Crow, Union City; various nieces and their children.

Mrs. Stevenson will be cremated, and the family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
