Ann (Bennett) Shepherd

Ann Shepherd, age 71, of Athens, GA passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2026. She was born in 1955 to Lane Charles and Lela Grace Bennett. She was a graduate of Johnson High School in 1974. Ann enjoyed reading and the outdoors. She loved spending time with her daughter and her grandchildren. She was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend to many. She is preceded in death by her father, Lane Charles Bennett; brother, Sherman Bennett, and son, Dylan Shepherd.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ansley and Adam Howe; grandchildren, Hayden, Emersyn and Chloe; mother, Lela Bennett; niece, Brandy (Perry) Echols; great niece and nephew, Charissa (Austin) Berry, and Chandler Migliore; along with many loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 31, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home and Crematory in Gainesville, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service.
