Benny Earl Gilstrap

Benny Earl Gilstrap, 77 of Gainesville passed away Tuesday May 4, 2021 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center-Braselton.

A lifelong resident of Hall County, Mr. Gilstrap was the son of the late Earl and Irene Loggins Gilstrap.  He was retired from Hall County Parks and Leisure Services, and was a member of Redwine United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Dianne P. Gilstrap, Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Maggie Gilstrap, Toccoa; sister and brother-in-law, Connie and Tom Wilbanks, Mt. Airy; grandchildren, Hannah D. Gilstrap; Ben Gilstrap; Acelyn Gilstrap; Gunnar Gilstrap and Knox Gilstrap.

Funeral services will be held Friday May 7, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home.  Rev. Bryan Smith and Rev. Daniel Gilstrap will officiate.  Interment will follow in the Alta Vista Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour.
