Betty Jean Grindle, 82, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 12, 2026, in her hometown.
Betty was born on July 3, 1944, in Gainesville, Georgia, where she spent her life surrounded by family and community. She was preceded in death by her husband of three years, Willard Shoemake; her daughter, Lynda Shoemake; her son, Rusty Gee; and her granddaughter, Hannah Gee.
Betty dedicated part of her working life to hospital environmental services, where her strong work ethic and caring nature touched many. Above all, she was a devoted and loving housewife who took pride in caring for her family and home.
She found joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially her love for animals and feeding the birds. Betty will be remembered for her kind, loving, and tender-hearted spirit, always putting others before herself and offering warmth to everyone she met.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia White, and her son, Shaun Gee; as well as her cherished grandchildren, Tonya Kimbrell, Willard Anderson, Richard Lugo, Chris Gee, Raven Gee, Tori Gee, William Gooch, and Junior Gee, who will carry her memory forward.
Betty’s gentle soul and loving presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
