Betty Ann (Dale) Martin

Betty Ann Dale Martin, 91 of Gainesville passed away at her residence surrounded by her loving family on Monday December 22, 2025

A lifelong resident of Hall County, Mrs. Martin was the daughter of the late Hoyt and Corine Brooks Dale.  She had worked for Potter-Brumfield and Sears for a number of years before retiring from the Hall County School System working for a number of schools in food service. Mrs. Martin was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Melody C. Reed, Gainesville, son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Kat Martin, Gainesville, grandchildren, Bryan Gilleland (Buffy), Tifton, Elysha Hunter (Brian), Gainesville, Amanda Patterson, Franklin, NC, Katie Nussbaum (Matt), Savannah, great grandchildren, Bailey Burnett (Randy Wilkerson), South Carolina, Erin Drawdy (Austin), Tifton, Brooklyn Patterson, Gainesville, Brock Hunter, Gainesville, Parker Payne, Franklin, NC, Emma Nussbaum, Savannah, great great grandchildren, Kade and Wesley Wilkerson, South Carolina, and Lottie Kerns,  brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Sherry Dale, Gainesville, sister, Wanda Kemp, Habersham County, sister-in-law, Dorothy Martin of North Carolina.  A number of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive.

Mrs. Martin is preceded death by her parents, husband of 55 years, Clyde Fred Martin, brother, Rev. Emmett Dale, grandson, Joey Kerns, and stepmother, Betty Dale, sisters-in-law, Barbara Dale, Lib Brazell and Helen Martin.

Funeral services will be held Sunday December 28, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Rev. Steve Baker will officiate. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday December 27 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. and again Sunday from12:00 p.m. until the funeral hour.
