Betty Jean (Cronan) Reed

Betty Jean (Cronan) Reed, age 92, of Gainesville, GA passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at her residence. She was born in 1932, to the late James Garfield and Oma Elizabeth Cronan. Jean was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister and friend to many. She was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, W.O. “Jack” Reed Jr.; daughter, Katheryn Elaine Reed Failyer; brother and sister-in-law, Clinton and Evelyn Cronan.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Diane Reed; grandchildren, Amy Reed, Brian Failyer, and Matt Failyer; 6 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; along with many other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home in Gainesville, GA with Rev. Randall Hulsey officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12:00 noon until the hour of service.
