Billy Dean Roberts Obituary
With loving hearts, we celebrate the life of Bill Roberts, who passed away on May 3, 2026, at the age of 77.
Bill was truly one of the greatest men alive. He loved his family deeply and had a heart bigger than anyone could imagine. He was forever grateful for the time he shared with those he loved. He was the backbone of the family, helping each person through every stage of life.
Bill proudly served our great country for four years in the Panama Canal and went on to build a career with the federal government, from which he retired. He was a coach, a cheerleader, a steadfast support system, and the arm that lifted everyone up when they needed it most.
He loved his Kentucky Wildcats, building classic hot rods, taking drives on back roads, and cherishing every moment life had to offer. Mr. Roberts was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores, who passed on April 29, 2026.
Bill is survived by his children, Tanya Smith and Greg Roberts; his daughter-in-law, Rebecca Roberts; his grandchildren, Chris Roberts, Amber Smith, and Reagan Roberts; and his great-grandchildren, Kenley Marks, Colton Roberts, Colby Roberts, and Weston Roberts.
A part of Bill will remain in each and every one of our hearts. We can only hope to live with the same strength, love, and character that he showed throughout his life. There will never be another man quite like Dad.
A joint funeral service will be held for Billy and his wife, Delores on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Little Davenport Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
