Catherine Martin Obituary

Catherine P. Martin, 78, of Gainesville, beloved Mother and Grandmother went to be with the Lord on Sunday July 26, 2020, after a long struggle with cancer.  Catherine was born on September 21, 1941 in Gainesville, GA., to the late Andrew and Lula Powers.

She was retired from Mars-Wrigley company and was of Baptist Faith.

She was preceded in death by her late husbands, Horace Thomas (1991) and Billy Martin (2002).

She is survived by her children, daughter Kay (Rodger) Farmer of Gainesville, and son Terry Thomas of Gainesville.   Grandchildren, Michael Ledford, Courtney Chandler, Benji Farmer and Amy Farmer Stewart, 5 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

She will surely be missed by her family and friends.

Visitation will be Monday July 27, from 4-8 p.m. and Tuesday July 28, from 11am-12pm at Little & Davenport Funeral Home.  Graveside services will be Tuesday July 28, at 1 p.m. at Airline Baptist Church Cemetery, the Rev. Robby Ledford will officiate.
