On July 8 th Daniel Augustus Thompson sailed away on a boat to heaven.
Whether you knew him as Daniel, Augie, or Faustas, you’ll miss him and when you get to heaven, he’d
want you to look him up. Don’t try calling, even in heaven his voicemail will be full, so you may have to
look around. Check the beach in Mexico where he would be relaxing with his wife McKenzie or planning
the next dinner reservation with his parents Bill and Phyllis. Check to see if he is catching an Alabama
football game with his in-laws Bud and Donna or helping his nephew Tobias save Princess Zelda. Augie
could be assisting his nephew A.J. pilot the Enterprise, or taking his Goddaughter Julianna on Space
Mountain, or backstage at the Arts Center, and don’t forget to check the local dive bar. You might see
him at work, helping the homeless and those in need. If he’s not there, you might find him in Ironforge
with his sister Amanda and brother-in-law Austin. To find him just follow the sound of laughter and the
smell of Chicago style pizza (tavern style of course he’s not a tourist).
The brotherhood of man will miss him greatly.
