Dereck Michael Wilson

Dereck (Red) Wilson, of Lula ,37, a deeply cherished man, known for his kind, loving, caring, and humorous personality left us too soon on March 10, 2025. He was born on November 17, 1987. He lived his life loud with a passion for music, particularly Metallica. His love of music was surpassed only by his desire to make the people around him feel loved and cherished. 

He was preceded in death by his Grandfather Ronnie Strickland, Grandparents Eugene and Eva Wilson and Uncle Tommy Wilson.

He leaves behind Grandmother Gail “Munner” Strickland, Mother Donna Watkins, Father Richard Wilson, Brother Justin and wife Christine Wilson with Niece LeighAnne and Nephew Casen Wilson, Sister Hayley and husband Trent Collins, Sister Katelyn Watkins-Smith, Sister Savannah Watkins, Aunt Sheryl and Husband Don Ripka, Aunt Lisa Wilson, Cousin Zack and Wife Tish Wilson, and His Soulmate Amy “Marie” Myers and her 2 children Harrison and Asher Emmett. 

Funeral service will be held Friday March 14, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Mickey Clark and Jonathan Jackson will officiate. The family will receive at Little & Davenport Funeral Home Thursday March 13 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and again from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
