After a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease/Lewey Body Dementia, Doug Fowler left this earthly life while surrounded by his loved ones. A native and lifelong resident of Hall County, Doug spent his life loving and helping others. For many years he was an active member of First Presbyterian Church, he served as an elder and was a part of the Stephen Ministry. His community involvement included time on the Hall County Zoning Board of Appeals. He was an influential leader in the poultry industry here in Hall County and in other parts of the world, and was the founder, owner, and engineer of DFI, where he designed and manufactured custom equipment for the poultry industry.

Doug is preceded in death by his father, Alvin Robert Fowler, mother, Idell Loggins Fowler, and brother, Charles Lee Fowler. Survivors include his devoted and beloved wife of fifty-five years, Brenda Fletcher Fowler, his two daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy and Scott Lovelady and Julie and Scott Angel. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Spencer Lovelady, Emily, Lindsey, and Katie Angel, a great granddaughter, Frankie Lovelady, his sisters Barbara Ann Fowler and Shelby Jean Lewallen, and his lifelong friend John Cobb as well as many other treasured relatives and friends.
