Dwight Lee Ryals

Dwight Lee Ryals, age 78, of Gillsville, GA, passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2025. He was born in 1946, to the late Travis and Ethel Ryals. He was a member of Cherokee Baptist Church. Dwight was a United States Navy veteran. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Dwayne Ryals; son, Kerry Ryals; sister-in-law, Lois Bell, and brother-in-law, Edward Butterworth.

He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Lounette B. Ryals: daughter, Michele (Troy) Cain; daughter-in-law, Melanie Ryals; grandchildren, Alexis (Kody) Rylee, Erica (Nick) Deaton, Dusty (Brittney) Ryals, Madison (Lane) Miller, Trevor (Allie) Ryals, and Ethan (Katie) Cain; great grandchildren, Waylon, Wyatt, Westyn, Brooklyn, Oaklyn, Hadley, Carter, Evie Klaire, Stella Rae, Stetson, Coley, and Fletcher; sister and brother-in-law, Paulette and Wayne Carlyle; and sisters-in-law, Rhonda Ryals, and Lucy Ladig; along with many other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Monday, May 12, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Timber Ridge Baptist Church in Gainesville, GA with Rev. Kody Rylee, Rev. Caleb Ryals and Rev. Issac Carlyle officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. and Monday at the church from 2:30 p.m. until the hour of service.
