Edith Carol Webb, known affectionately to all as Carol, passed away leaving a legacy of warmth, generosity, and boundless love. She was a woman who exuded a welcoming spirit that made everyone she met feel instantly like family.
Carol's life was defined by her devotion to her family, her faith, and her community. She was married for 54 wonderful years to her loving husband, Billy, building a life together rooted in love and partnership.
For 20 years, Carol shaped the lives of the community’s youngest minds, the majority of that time spent as a paraprofessional in a kindergarten classroom at McEver School. Her patience and kindness left an indelible mark on countless children. Later in life, her fondness for cooking sparked a new chapter. Inspired by her exceptional cooking skills, Carol and Billy launched a catering business right out of their home. What started as a shared passion flourished over the years into a successful enterprise that included three companies: Catering by Our House, Candlelight Productions, and Concession Services. These companies touched the lives of many across the community.
She was an active member of Zion Hill Baptist Church, where her faith shined brightly. Her family was always her central focus, and she took immense joy in creating lasting traditions with her grandchildren.
Now peacefully reunited with her beloved husband Billy, she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Madonna Webb; her daughter, Lynn Dancsecs, and late son-in-law, Joe Dancsecs; her grandchildren, Devin Webb, Stephanie Dancsecs, Kimberly Henderson, and Michelle Schwer; and six great-grandchildren.
Carol’s warmth, laughter, and nurturing spirit will be deeply missed but forever celebrated by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
